Benchmark Position Descriptions

These non-supervisory benchmark professional position descriptions at the full performance GS-11 level or at the developmental GS-5, GS-7, or GS-9 levels can be used without further classification if they apply. If developmental positions are appropriate, then all position descriptions on the career ladder at that grade and higher, up to the full performance level, should be printed and submitted to personnel. Printed versions of the official Resources Careers benchmark position descriptions and signed cover pages are identified by the Resources Careers watermark.

NOTE: At the GS-5, GS-7, and GS-9 levels, the text of the position descriptions is generic and does not vary from one professional series to another except for the title and the associated OF-8.
