MIRROR LAKE IN INDIAN HENRY'S HUNTING GROUND, Mount Rainier National Park. This beautiful wilderness, like much of the land in the scenic national parks, is off the beaten path. A trail leads to it from the West Side Highway, 4-1/2 miles away; and it is on the Wonderland Trail that completely encircles Mount Rainier. Campsites with shelter cabins, spaced from 8 to 12 miles apart, make possible extended hiking and packing trips of a week or more, as well as short trips, on the Wonderland Trail.
