Summary:
Two Park Police officers observed a man deliberately drive his car into the
Potomac River near the Kennedy Center. Since the water there is only 2 1/2
feet deep, the car did not submerge. The officers were able to talk the man
back to shore. He was transported to George Washington Hospital for medical
and mental evaluation.

Summary:
Park Police officers found the body of an unidentified male on the Mall just
below the Capital. The victim had a gunshot wound in the head. Since he was
found to be lying on a musket-type handgun, his death has been ruled a
probable suicide.
