Summary:
As a result of the recent attacks upon humans on horseback in this area, two
park rangers on horseback served as human bait during the night. No animals
were sighted, no incidents were reported. This evening, (7/22) the rangers
will again frequent the area on horseback and will be accompanied by dogs. It
is felt that dogs will serve to draw the coyotes out into the open.

Summary:
B.K.K. was speeding on his motorcycle on a spur off Route 41 when he lost
control and hit a bridge abutment. He was killed instantly.

Summary:
Nine plots of marijuana were spotted growing at the above location by a Swain
County Sheriffs Office aircraft. Swain County Deputies and NPS rangers pulled
and burned 127 plants 8 to 12 feet in height, with an estimated value of 1.5
million dollars. No suspects, no arrests.
