Summary:
Drug Interdiction

Ranger Kevin Fitzgerald received information from an informant that a
smuggling operation was taking place along the park boundaries just
off Everglade City. He notified Customs, the assisted them in interdicting
and boarding two boats found along the boundary. The first was tied to an
EPS boundary marker and contained 197 bales of marijuana; the second was
nearby and contained 234 bales. Five arrests were made by Customs.
