Summary:
On 11/14, the park was notified by New Jersey authorities that Mr.
G.C., who was believed to be in the area of the park, had written
to a party in Nevada saying that he was going to commit suicide by
overdosing on pills. A ranger found G.C. dead in his vehicle at the
above time and place. Since the area is in proprietary jurisdiction, the
state of New Jersey is investigating.

Summary:
Las Vegas PD advised the park on 11/15 that a suicidal woman who'd also
threatened to kill her seven-year-old son was in the area. Later on the
same morning, concession divers doing routine maintenance on marina
docks discovered a submerged vehicle with the victim's body in it. The
mother admitted to killing her son; she said she'd given him an overdose
of sleeping pills, then driven the car into the water. She was arrested
by rangers and turned over to the Clark County sheriff's office. An
autopsy is to be performed.
