Summary: Mr. S.D. called seeking info on the number of auto accidents,
injuries & fatalities occur on NPS roads.  I gave him our stats for
FY 1984 & also gave him number for engineering for tal NPS road miles.
He then told me he's a bicyclist with 100,000 plus miles logged on
U.S. roads & has sustained many injuries on state roads.  He feels that
Feds run roads better than States, and will begin hunger strike on
steps of Supreme Court in September (or thereabouts) to get Feds to
take over State roads.
